Current fitness routine

Hello fellow health and fitness enthusiasts! As the weather warms up I’ve been changing my fitness routine to include more outside activities. If you’re like me it’s hard to keep workouts indoors when the sun is shining outdoors. It’s been a bit of a challenge maintaining my fitness lifestyle over the past couple of weeks but I’m happy to say that I’ve finally found a routine that has been working well for me.

If you follow my Instagram stories  @simplyeseeri you’d know that I’ve gotten back into running (at a minimum I run 5K), and as of recently I’ve gotten back into high intensity interval training workouts (at a minimum doing 1 hour workouts). The goal is to do at least 2 of each type of workout a week. ⁣And yes, I’m still about that walk life; 1 hour walk everyday after work!

Another tip I can share is specifically to building your abs. I’d recommend incorporating at least 30 minutes of cardio and also doing ab workouts that you find difficult. For me that include doing the following ab movements (25 repetitions of each move at the minimum):

  • Bicycle
  • Alternating oblique dips
  • Leg lifts
  • Crunches

Besides working out my diet is on point. Still eating a lot of vegetables, drinking my 3 litres of water, and not consuming much sugar. Yes I still eat what I want everything in moderation!
