Olehenriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set

Hi beauties! Olehenriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set is one of my staple skin care products this winter. I’ve been on a hunt for a skin care collection featuring vitamin C and these products have become the perfect set in my skin care routine. Olehenriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set features Olehenriksen Truth Serum, Olehenriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Cream, and Olehenriksen Truth Banana Bright Eye Cream.

I was introduced to this set through a random advertisement that I had seen on Twitter by the brand. It looked enticing and the icing on the cake was the comments from people who had tried these products and sung its praises. During the last Sephora VIB sale I decided to get the holiday set of these items so I could get a bang for my buck. I’m glad I did, especially since it led to me having the opportunity to try out all the products at once.

Olehenriksen Let's Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set

Olehenriksen Truth Serum is described as serum that can be used daily to help support skin firmness, brightness, and hydration. This product has collagen, orange, and green tea extracts when combined, all provide antioxidant properties to benefit your skin. When dispersing this product, I find it to be a combination of a gel-like and watery texture that has a slight orange scent. It goes on easily across the skin and soaks into the skin well. I don’t find that it leaves any tacky or sticky residue and it works well with other skin care products (even those that are not  from the same skin care collection/brand). I really do enjoy this serum and will continue to use it as part of my weekly skin care routine.

Olehenriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Cream is described as a hydrating gel cream that contains vitamin C to help brighten the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and provide hydration. This skin care product is uniquely formulated because it contains 3 properties of vitamin C (ascorbic acid – pure vitamin C; 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid and tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate –  two light-and-air stable vitamin C properties known for their antioxidant value). This product was not what I expected. Firstly, its the first time I’ve used a gel cream; its such a unique texture. Its lightweight yet hydrating at the same time. It soaks into my skin so quickly and doesn’t leave an oily film. Personally, I think this product would be perfect for me to use during the warmer season as its lightweight and hydrating. I wouldn’t recommend to use this as a moisturizer during the colder seasons as its too lightweight and not moisturizing enough.

Olehenriksen Truth Banana Bright Eye Cream is described as a vitamin C eye cream that helps to hydrate, brighten, and reduce the look of fine lines under your eyes. This is a soft, lightweight creamy product that glides on smoothly. I truly enjoy using this product as it does not irritate my under eye and leaves it feeling refreshed. I’m not sure if it has really brightened the skin under my eyes as I don’t often suffer from dark circles but I will say that it does leave the skin under my eyes feeling hydrated.

One of the key features of all the products mentioned above it the key ingredient being vitamin C. Vitamin C is known as an antioxidant that helps to slow down the aging process, regenerate cells, while brightening the skin (reducing the appearance of scars). I’ve been using these products for months; you won’t notice a difference at first; it will become apparent over time. Personally, I only use these products as part of my bedtime routine. I do not use them in the morning. One tip I would strongly recommend is to protect your skin during the day and use sun protection so as to not revert any of the benefits derived from these products.

Let me know in the comment section below if you’ve every considered using vitamin C products.
