Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer

Hi beauties! Today I’m sharing my current mattifying primer obsession; Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer. It’s my current favourite makeup primer. Yes, I said it! This primer is described as a primer that goes on seamlessly as a base to your makeup to help it increase the power of your foundation and longevity of wear.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer is known to help even out you skin tone and texture in order to create a smooth canvas (base) for you face. This mattifying primer is perfect for those with oily and combination skin because it helps to take away the shine from your skin and it provides a surface that allows for your foundation and powders to adhere and last longer on your face without fading.

This product comes in a 30ML squeeze tube with an easy open-top that displays a small applicator tip. It’s very easy to squeeze the product out to your desired portion. The mattifying primer appears to be a solid white cream upon application. The good news is that once it’s spread out on your face it goes on clear. The effect of this mattifying primer after application is that it not only mattes your face, but it also provides a blurring affect to your face to help it appear smooth.

I’ve been testing out this product over the past few months and I really do like it. I’ve had the opportunity to wear it during the warmer season (summer), fall, and now as we are approaching winter. I can say that this primer definitely works well if you have oily skin such as myself. It makes your skin matte but does not leave it feeling dry. Upon application, in my experience, this product does not leave a white cast of residue. I find that it does help my foundation last well; on average I find it lasts for about 6 hours until I find I need to blot my face because my oils are breaking through my foundation.

Let me know in the comment section below if you use makeup primers, and if so, which one is your current favourite?

xo,
