How to Make Baked Chicken

Hello my fellow foodie lovers! This post is for those who love to eat flavourful, healthy chicken without spending too much time having to cook it. Making baked chicken is one of my favourite ways to cook chicken — especially with my busy schedule. It takes no time at all to prepare and while its cooking in the stove I have time to multitask and do other things.

I often pair this delicious chicken with a side salad or with a mix of roasted veggies to keep it low carb. For a rich dinner option I like to pair this chicken with roasted vegetables and a side of sweet potato. When preparing this chicken recipe, I’d suggest to begin preparation the day before; that way you save so much time the day of cooking! The day you have to bake this chicken all you have to do it just throw it in the oven.

How to make baked chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken thighs, or chicken legs or, mix of both chicken thighs and legs
  • Presidents Choice Souvlaki marinade
  • Mrs Dash original blend
  • Dried dill
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper

Preparation:

  • Remove chicken skin and rinse off chicken with cold water.
  • Place chicken in a large bowl and add a couple of splashes of pure vinegar and add cold water until all chicken pieces are covered with the vinegar and water mixture. Soak chicken in the bowl for at least 10 min. After soaking chicken, drain the water and rinse chicken again with cold water. Drain the water from the bowl after the final rinse. The chicken should now be in the large bowl without soaking in any water.
  • In the same bowl the chicken was soaking in, add all of the ingredients and mix well. Add as much or as little seasoning as you’d like. Let seasoned chicken marinate for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours for maximum flavour.

How to make baked chicken

Cooking:

  • Place seasoned chicken on a baking sheet. Spread out chicken so it’s not touching one another in order to cook evenly.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place chicken on the middle rack of the oven and cook in the until done.
  • Enjoy!
