Honey Garlic Chicken

Hello fellow foodie lovers! If you follow my Instagram account (@simplyeseeri) you already know what a foodie I am. I not only enjoy eating out and trying new dishes but I also enjoy cooking! This past weekend I finally got the chance to cook honey garlic chicken tenders and let me tell you; they were so good!

Honey garlic chicken

Typically for Sunday night dinner I like to try being creative and cooking foods that I typically wouldn’t make during the week. This chicken will have to be something that I add to my regular cooked meals because it was so simple and quick to make. The best part is how flavourful and juicy the chicken is with each bite. To get the recipe see below!

Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken strips, chicken tenders, or chicken breast (you will have to cut up chicken breast into small pieces)
  • 3 large tablespoons of honey
  • 5 Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Freshly cracked sea salt
  • Optional: chili flakes for a touch of heat

Cooking instructions:

  • Gently melt butter to a liquid consistency but not till it boils. You just want it to be in liquid form.
  • Add honey, mince garlic cloves and add to bowl, add garlic powder, freshly cracked black pepper and freshly cracked sea salt. Mix all ingredients together.
  • Add chicken and ensure all chicken pieces are coated in the marinate. Let sit for at least 1 hour.
  • Heat up sauce pan to medium heat. Place uncooked marinated chicken into saucepan and do not move.
  • Once the corners of the chicken turn white flip over. Cook on the other side until done.
  • While chicken is cooking continue basting the chicken with the honey garlic sauce.
  • Keep flipping the chicken over and basting the chicken with the sauce until it turns a beautiful rich golden brown.

Once your chicken is done you can serve with a salad, rice or anything else you desire. Let me know if you try this recipe out.  Enjoy!
