Dolce & Gabbana Peony

Hi beauties! Today’s luxe fragrance review features Dolce & Gabbana Peony. This is my first Dolce & Gabbana cosmetic product review and I’m excited to share with you what I think about this fragrance.

Dolce & Gabbana Peony was launched this year (2019) as a new member of the Dolce & Gabbana fragrance line. It is described as a bright floral scent that exudes femininity, sweetness, and an air of joy. The top notes of this fragrance includes bergamot, Asian pear, and pink peppercorn. The middle notes include peony, freesia, and Bulgarian rose. Lastly, the base notes are composed of golden yellow plum nectar, honey, patchouli and amber.

If you’re like me and read all of these notes you may be a bit overwhelmed with the amount of bold floral and sweet aspects that it includes. As someone who leans towards more rich scents (for example those with amber and vanilla), this is typically not something that would initially catch my attention. However, on first spray I knew it was a great scent to have in my collection!

Dolce & Gabbana Peony

Firstly, I am letting you know right away that this is definitely a very feminine, floral, girl scent. Simply put; it smells like a gourmet blend of rich florals and sweet candies…but not in an overwheming manner! Personally, I get the scents of peony, freesia and honey first on my skin. As the scent wears on during the day I begin to get hints of golden yellow plum nectar followed by a dash of amber. This is the type of fragrance that I personally would only wear during the warmer seasons as it reflects the idea of florals and sweet treats well.

On me, I find this scent actually lasted longer than I would have expected; about 3 hours before I realized that I needed to reapply it (floral fragrances typically don’t last long on me). I really do enjoy wearing Dolce & Gabbana Peony as its a unique scent in my collection that greatly reflects my girly side.

Let me know in the comment section below; are you into floral and sweet scents?

xo,
