Versace Bright Crystal

Hi beauties! Today’s fragrance review Versace Bright Crystal is a scent that made me reconsider my whole fragrance collection when I first came across it. Versace Bright Crystal is the scent that turned me into the woman who began to appreciate more floral, dare I say “girly” perfumes.

Introduced to the market in 2006 Versace Bright Crystal was developed by Alberto Morillas, and it is a light, feminine scent with citrus, floral, and aquatic notes. It sounds like a crazy mix, I know! But magically, they all work well together. The base notes include mahagony, amber and musk, mid-notes include, lotus, peony and magnolia, and the top notes are yuzu (Japanese citrus), aqua and pomegranate.

Personally, upon first spray of this fragrance I immediately smell the aqua notes, followed by peony and then citrus. I find Versace Bright Crystal to be such a soft, feminine, floral light scent that epitomizes my girly side. It’s not overwhelming and literally lays gently on the skin. This is a great scent to wear during the day, during the summer season, or on date night! I find that it does last a few hours before having to reapply it.

TIP* layer this fragrance with lotions that have floral notes to help intensify the sweet and floral notes. Lotions that I like to pair with this scent are from my local drugstore; my favourite one being the St. Ives lotion in Coconut and Orchid. The coconut scent in the lotion perfectly compliments the sweet and citrus scent in the fragrance while the orchid beautifully integrates with the mid-note florals of peony and magnolia found in Versace Bright Crystal.
