Nivea Sun Lip Care with SPF 30

Hi beauties! Have you thought of protecting your lips from the harmful rays of the sun? If not, now is the time to consider doing so! Nivea Sun Lip Care with SPF 30 is my current go-to lip product that protects my lips from potential sun damage. As I’ve mentioned in the past, sun protection is important regardless of your skin color. The harmful rays of the sun may lead to skin damage and worst case scenario contribute to skin cancer. With that being said, the older I get the more aware I become of protecting all areas of my body from the sun.

I was neglecting my lips — bad I know! The way I came about realizing this was because I noticed that my lips were continually getting darker after runs outside (I enjoy running outside during the warmer season). This realization triggered the thought that I have not protected my lips from the sun. Immediately, I visited my local drugstore to find a sun-protecting lip balm and came across Nivea Sun Lip Care with SPF 30. I’m an avid user of Nivea products and I thought this would be another great product to try from the brand.

Nivea Sun Lip Care with SPF 30

Nivea Sun Lip Care with SPF 30 is described as a moisturizing lip product that protects your lips from UVA and UVB rays. UVA is long wave ultraviolet A, and UVB is shortwave ultraviolet B. Both UVA and UVB are dangerous if you don’t protect your skin as they can burn through the sensitive layers of your skin. This product protects you lips while providing moisture with Vitamin E, sunflower extract, and a unique formula referred to as Hydra IQ. It is dermatologically tested, but as always be sure to apply a test patch on your skin to ensure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.

When applying this UVA and UVB protectant, on my lips it goes on clear. It does not look like I’m wearing any sunscreen! Additionally, I really like that there is no noticeable sunscreen scent on my lips when I have it on. TIP* be sure to reapply throughout the day to ensure that your lips stay protected from the sun. Especially if you are spending long hours outside. Let me know in the comment section below if you use sunscreen to protect your lips.
