Drunk Elephant skincare. There is so much hype surrounding it, but is it worth the hype? These were the first thoughts that came to my mind when I selected my beauty insider birthday gift from Sephora this year.I wanted to see what Drunk Elephant is all about and why it’s such a raved about product. I’ve come here today to tell you that I get it! I can honestly say I’ve never gone through a sample skincare item to date so quickly. Lol. From Sephora, I was gifted with the Mini Beste™ No.9 Jelly Cleanser and the Mini Protini™ Polypeptide Cream.
When I first used these products it was during the thick of winter; my skin was dry, flaky and needed some much needed moisture.
Beste™ No.9 Jelly Cleanser is described as suitable for oily and combination skin types. This cleanser helps to remove all impurities from your face including pollution, makeup, and oil. It’s said to make your skin clean without irritation so you are left with clean and moisturized skin.
From my experience, I do find that this cleanser does remove dirt and oil but not any better than my other go-to skin care products. I find that I have left over residue if I only use this cleanser to remove my makeup. What I’ve opted to do is use this as my second cleanser during my skincare routine and it’s perfect for that! It has a beautiful light creamy lather that removes leftover debris from your face. It’s able to remove the last bits of makeup and it really does leave my skin feeling nice, soft and ready for the next steps to my skincare routine.

Protini™ Polypeptide Cream is described as a moisturizer that helps to improve the appearance of your skin tone, texture, and firmness. Based on the sample product that I received, what I can say is that it definitely improved the the texture of my skin. After use, immediately my tight dry skin felt subtle and moisturized. It felt as though it had regained its youth back thanks to the light creamy moisturizing properties of the cream. I find this light cream as non-oily and penetrates quickly into your skin. I would definitely consider purchasing this product!
