Consistency in Blogging

Hello world! I want to share with you the journey that I’ve been on the past few weeks. I’ve been blogging and loving it!

Before I begin I want to take the time out to say thank you for stopping by! Your support means a lot to me 🙂 These past few weeks I feel like I’ve been on a blogging roll. I’ve been able to post on my website every week and it’s been so rewarding sharing many beauty, travel, health and fitness things with you!

I’ve noticed that the more I blog, the more fun it is for me. I’ll be honest, I used to be so focused on the stats on my blog. I’d check them everyday :S For example, how many views per post, how many email subscribers etc that I lost focus as to why i started blogging in the first place. To connect with all of you my fellow beauty, travel, health and fitness and lifestyle lovers! I wanted to be a part of a community that not only shared, but also learned from one another.

Blogging has taken a turn these past few years, everyone is doing it. I had to take a step back and remember why I started instead of focusing on numbers. I blog because I love it! Once I was reminded of this, my creativity and passion was reignited. I started posting again consistently.

Consistency in blogging is the most difficult thing to do, especially if you have other demanding responsibilities. However, I think it’s necessary if I want to keep an engaged community of readers. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to be consistent when it feels like everyone is doing the same thing; it’s hard to see what value you add. Believe me when I say, you matter, you add value! How have I been able to be consistent these past few months?

  1. Drafting blog posts in advance.
  2. Only positing things that motivate, inspire and interest not only myself but also my readers.
  3. Connecting with fellow bloggers both online and in-person.
  4. Educating myself on the ever-changing blogging world across all social media.
  5. Having fun!

These 5 key things have helped me to stay consistent. And hopefully it  stays that way! 🙂

xo,

Great tips Eseeri! I find that drafting a bunch when I am feeling inspired is the best way to stay consistent! I also try to keep a list of post ideas that I can come back to if I’m unsure what to blog about. Finding fellow bloggers like you who are encouraging also helps! Thanks for the motivation!

Thanks for reading Jessica! 🙂 I really like your idea of keeping a list of post ideas for when I have no clue of what blog post to do. So helpful!
