Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

Hi beauties! A couple of days ago I shared my first reactions to using the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. This has been a common product reviewed on YouTube and I was excited to try it out for myself!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is described as natural deep pore cleansing mask that is derived from 100% calcium bentonite clay. Calcium bentonite clay is known for removing toxins from the skin, reducing the appearance of acne scars, and skin inflammation. It’s suggested to leave this mask on for no more than 30 minutes (if you have sensitive skin it is recommended to leave this mask on for a maximum of 10 minutes).

The clay is in the form of a finely milled powder; light and fluffy. It’s advised to be mixed with equal parts of apple cider vinegar or water. When I mixed the powder into a face clay mask I used apple cider vinegar. The combination of both ingredients created a smooth and seemingly fluffy texture that easily spread across my face. I left the mask on for about 20-30 minutes.

My experience using the mask was interesting to say the least. It really does pulsate! It felt like my face was going through a deep  tissue massage. AND THEN it felt like it was getting tighter as it dried (and cracked) on my face the longer it stayed on. When it was time to wash the mask off I felt like I had to put in a little bit of elbow grease. It’s took awhile for the mask to come off after it dried.

What I noticed immediately after use was how clear my skin looked and how my white heads had popped up! Yes! It’s like the mask PULLED out my white heads closer to the surface! This made the process of extracting it SO EASY. Also one major con is that the mask was so strong for my skin that it left my face feeling a little bit irritated; I was too aggressive when washing it off and lightly scarred my skin :s.

The next day following use my face was literally glowing! It looked so clear; I was seriously impressed! Because of this results I will be using the mask again. Next time I try it out I’ll not use apple cider vinegar (it may be too harsh for my face) and I will only leave the mask on for a maximum of 15 minutes.

Have you tried this mask before? If not, what is your favourite mask to use?

xo,
