Hello world! I’m finally sharing with you parts of my trip to Rio de Janeiro. This is one of the most memorable life-changing travel destinations that I’ve been to and I’ve been thinking about how to share with you glimpses of how great it was without giving away all its magic.

In this post I’m sharing with you some of the street art that I came across while travelling across the city. Brazil graffiti can be found everywhere you look. So much colour, vibrant shapes, faces and messages all across the city. As soon as I saw one wall of graffiti it’s like my creativity was renewed. Each piece tells a story, each piece shows the skill, passion and love for art that the artist had.

When you go up close to these art pieces you’ll notice the time and patience that was given to each. The strokes, lines, shadowing, blending and colouring speak volumes to create masterpieces.

Literally, a story is told in the graffiti art decorating the streets of Rio. I noticed a lot of art that was influenced by African culture; the struggles and the lives and passion for African culture was easily recognizable. Representation for all cultures, political stances, and current events were all found in street art.

There was also fun pieces that I came across that were comic-like in nature that would easily put a smile on your face!

Let me know what piece of art was your favourite in the comment section below. I hope you enjoyed the pictures!
