If you follow my snapchat (simplyeseeri) you’ll see all of the fun I had this past weekend. I made my way to the annual Toronto Food & Drink Market. This is my second year in a row going and I was not disappointed! Processed with VSCO

The weekend long event ran from Friday April 8-Sunday April 10th. It’s a great place to “sip, sample and shop”. Various vendors, and food trucks all congregate in one location to fulfill all of a foodies desires (such as myself). There are numerous booths where you can sample or buy items such as specialty cheeses, pastries, local organic honey, meats, sandwiches and so on. And we cannot forget about all the the various wines and beers that were available! What was also great about the event were the demo stage presentations where you could learn more about wine tastings, olive oil, and for the brave ones, participate in hot sauce tasting.

Since I like to eat, I made sure to check out as many booths offering and selling foods and desserts. My favourite eats are those pictured above; a Hawaiian pulled pork, sandwich, a fresh Mexican shrimp ceviche taco and last but not least, a red velvet cupcake. I had a great time meeting new people and talking about food! The even definitely inspired me to get more creative in the kitchen.
