Skin Care Must Haves

February 27, 2018

Hi beauties! Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite skin care products that I’ve been using consistently.

I consider these products “must haves” in my skin care collection because I’ve repurchased them on more than one occasion. They are my go-to products when completing my Sunday night at home facial routine and they are my-go to products when I want to maintain clear and smooth skin.

When it comes to skin care, I try and keep it as simple as possible. Generally, I aim to cleanse, tone and exfoliate. However, on the weekends I like to pamper myself a little bit and include toners and oils. When it comes to skin care one tip I’d give you is to pay attention. Pay attention to what works and doesn’t work for your skin. And always remember, you have to put in the work too to have clear skin — eat healthy, drink your water and get enough sleep!

To see a list of the products that I’m loving see below!

  • The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion

This is a great exfoliator to use. It is composed of micro beads that gently remove dead skin cells. I find this product helps to remove all the debris and gunk from my pores and leaves my skin smooth and glowing.

  • Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

This is one of my all-time favourite masks to use! I use it 1-2 times a week to help my skin detox from daily pollution and to help clear and tighten my skin. For some it may be a bit drying after use so I’d suggest to be sure and moisturize immediately after you wash it off.

  • Pixi Glow Tonic

I’ve been hearing about this product for awhile now and once I found it on sale at my local drugstore I had to pick it up. I get the hype! The Pixi Glow Tonic is made with 5% Glycolic which helps to gently remove dead skin cells to reveal fresh glowing skin. I’ve been using this tonic for a few weeks now and I can say that I’m starting to see a difference with my skin!

  • Jason 98% Aloe Vera Moisturizing Gel

Aloe vera is a must have in my skin care routine, I’ve raved so much about it and will continue to do so! I love this product because its a natural way for me to hydrate my skin and I love how it plums up my skin (bye bye wrinkles) and helps to minimize the appearance of scars.

  • Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

I was introduced to this product at a beauty show I had attended during the summer and I’m glad that I got the chance to try it out. Vitamin C oils, serums (and the like) have been known to help tighten, brighten, and protect your skin. Plus it has been said to have anti-wrinkle properties!

  • Tamanu Oil

Tamanu oil is one of my favourite oils to use! This is a nut oil that helps to treat a variety of skin care ailments including acne, fungus, scars, dry skin, and stretch marks. I personally use thus oil to help with my adult acne and to help minimize my acne scars. It is a bit thick in consistency when compared to argan or coconut oil and it may take a little bit of getting used to when applying it to your face.
