If you’ve been following my makeup looks for awhile you’ll notice that I don’t wear false lashes. Unfortunately, they are not for me for two reasons, 1. I don’t know how to apply them and 2. I don’t like the way they feel on my eyelids.

Does that sound weird? Maybe, but it’s the truth! LoL. With that being said, I do like the look of wearing false lashes and I try to achieve the same look with my natural lashes.

In order to do so, I like using a daily homemade lash serum to help my lashes grown long and thick. To make this amazing lash serum all you need are two ingredients: aloe vera and Jamaican Black Castor oil (with no salt).

Aloe vera is known to promote hair growth due to the proteolytic enzymes that it contains which are known to help repair dead skin cells and it’s known to keep your hair (and skin) moisturized. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is also known to keep your hair moisturized, preventing hair damage and for helping to promote your hair to grow out thick. To read more about Jamaican Black Castor Oil click here. The combination of these two ingredients together is perfection. The aloe vera helps to thin out the oil so it doesn’t feel too greasy.

This DIY lash serum is so easy to make. If you try out this DIY please let me know in the comment section down below!

Instructions:

  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera
  • 1 teaspoon Jamaican Black Castor Oil
  • Mix well in a small container
  • Apply to top and bottom lashes
