Hi beauties! We’ve just entered the fall season, and here in Toronto it’s still scorching hot! My skin has been feeling dry and in need of moisture so I’ve been using The Body Shop Drops of Youth Sleeping Mask.

Product Description

This mask is described as a sleeping mask that provides your skin with moisture. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid and has stem cell technology as one of the ingredients that supports cell turnover as you sleep while wearing the mask, helping to reveal subtle, youthful skin in the morning.

The mask is white and feels like a hybrid between a cream and a gel. It’s lightweight and jelly-like in consistency and glides on effortlessly upon application. Once it has dried down, it’s transparent in colour – leaving no white cast on your face!

Performance

When I first tried this product I was confused. The texture confused me most. It’s literally a mix between a gel and cream! I expected for it have the consistency of a face cream and it does not. When you smooth this mask onto your face you’ll find that it’s lightweight and leaves a slight sheen.

Something I’m not fond of when it comes to this mask is that it feels a bit sticky after use. This left me confused as well because I thought that I had to wash it off. After reading the instructions, I was able to confirm that it is a sleeping mask and you are not to wash it off.  Thankfully that feeling goes away after a few minutes.

When I wake from using this mask I find that my skin is moisturized. The sheen that it had left during the initial application is gone and I’m left with soft and subtle skin!

Have you tried a sleeping mask before? If so let me know which one in the comment section below!
