Hello! My name is Eseeri and I have a blog called SimplyEseeri. You’re on it now, reading it. Thank you! As you can tell by the title, contrary to popular belief, blogging ain’t easy! Let’s go down memory lane.

I started this blog because I’d got a lot of questions from my cousin and friends about random beauty products I’d use and about my health and fitness routine. The month I started my blog I only expected my cousin to read it. To my surprise, people around the world were reading it! I started putting out more content and expanded my social media presence onto Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat. My hobby quickly became a passion. I love blogging but the truth is, it takes a lot of time.

In a perfect world, I would release new blog content 4 times a week. However, in the real world of #adulating, there is work, family and friend responsibilities…oh and not forget having a social life that all come before my hobbies. I’m at a point now where I “squeeze” in blog posts wherever possible.  This needs to change.

I’ve made a list of some strategies that I’ll be using in the future so I can consistently release new blog posts. They include:

  • Time management; making the time to create new content. Just like I schedule my workouts, I’ll also schedule the time to create new blog posts
  • Writing down topic ideas for blog post I’d like to write about at the start of each week. If I could develop blog posts ideas for a two week period that will be even better!
  • Writing, taking pictures and drafting blog posts to be launched rather than keeping them in drafts
  • Pre-recording, editing, uploading and scheduling YouTube videos in advance so I can release regular YouTube content
  • Uploading a picture on Instagram at least twice a day in order to keep my followers engaged in my content

If you’re a blogger who also has a day job, what strategies do you use to blog regularly? Let me know in the comment section below!

xo,

Eseeri
