One of my secrets to having clear skin is exfoliating! I’ve tried a few types of exfoliators in the past but this product so far is one of the most unique one’s I’ve gotten my hands on to date. Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx™ Peeling Gel is described as a peeling gel that removes the top layer of dead skin as the product is being massaged onto the skin.

Packaging and Product Description

100mL (3.4 fl) of gel is encased in a plastic squeeze tube. When gently pressing the tube, a gel substance disperses out. Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx™ Peeling Gel is suitable for all skin types and is formulated without parabens, sulfates or phthalates.

This product works because of the enzymes incorporated in the ingredient list (of which includes pineapple, pomegranate, and keratinase). This is a gentle peeling gel exfoliate that removes dead skin cells, and clears clogged pores to reveal softer, smoother skin.

Performance

How I use this gel is an instructed in the directions; I make sure my face is free of makeup and cleansed thoroughly. I then apply a light layer of product onto my skin, leave it on for about 3-5 minutes and with clean hands I then massages it onto my skin. What happens is that the gel seemingly balls up and crumbles while removing the dead skin on the surface of you face. When done, I gently rinse my face with warm water and follow through with the rest of my skincare routine.

This product works! What I like most about it is that it doesn’t irritate my skin when exfoliating; I don’t feel like the gentle skin on my face is being damaged when removing dead skin. I also like how moisturized and soft my face feels after use.

Have you tried this product before? If not, what are your favourite exfoliates to use?
