OCC Lip Tar in Vintage
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) lip tars was the first in the beauty industry that I knew of a few years ago to create what we often call today as liquid lipsticks. This brand has always been my go-to when looking for a gloss or lipstick that is pigmented and long lasting. Last year, they introduced their famously known lip tars in new sleeker packaging that was to make applying the product an easier process as opposed to the squeeze tubes they originally came in.
OCC is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand that offers a wide range of products. Their ready to wear lips tars come in a myriad of colours and finishes that are bound to suit every skintone. Please note; the lip tars do not contain tar.

Packaging and Product Description

OCC lip tar in Vintage comes packaged in a slim cylindar shape with a twist top to open the product. It is small enough to throw into a clutch or tuck neatly into your pocket. The applicator is a doe-foot seemingly felt-tip applicator that allows for precision application onto the lip. There is a faint minty scent once you open the product but it does not linger onto the lips once applied.

Performance
Vintage red is a beautiful deep brick red that is flattering to most skin tones. I especially like this colour because it makes my teeth look extra white! All you need is one dip into the tube to get the full amount of product need for you lips. I absolutely love lips tars and I have quite a few that are my favourite. This product is long lasting, and the colour you see in the packaging is exactly what you get on the lips! Lip tars are not resistant to transfer, and may bleed outside of your lip line if you do not line your lips first with a lip liner. As the colour wears off from eating and drinking, I am often left with a lip stain of the same shade. Which I do like because then I am not in a hurry to reapply the lip tar.
To see the lip tar in action be sure to check out my Christmas Glamour Part 1 and Part 2.

Have you ever tried an OCC lip tar before? If so, what shade is your favourite?

Sounds lovely! I like the idea of making it look like teeth are whiter and the lip stain part too! Thank you for sharing this product. Happy New Year and best wishes. Koko 🙂
