shu uemura

shu uemura TSUYA skin youth infusing eye concentrate is what I’d describe as a light cream that is not oily and quickly seeps into the skin. It is lightly fragranced with a soft floral scent that dissipates once applied to the skin. This youth infusing eye concentrate is described by shu uemura as part of their TSUYA skincare series that aims to focus on treating aging skin around the eyes such as wrinkles, improving skin elasticity, firmness and dark circles. One of the claims that it also makes is providing the impression of larger eyes and lifted lashes.

Packaging and Product Description
I received the shu uemura sample sized eye cream in a gift bag and it did not come individually packaged in a box. After researching for the actual size of the product, it mimics the product; simple white background with black text. The tube is encased in a simple white plastic squeeze tubed contained with a top twist and a small hole to squeeze out the product. The product itself is a light cream that appears to be lightly tinted with a soft pink hue. TSUYA skin youth infusing eye concentrate flows out easily from the tube. However, if you do not use the concentrate regularly I’d suggest you lightly shake the tube first prior to using; the longer the product sits its formula separates and does not come out of the tube cohesively. This sample size came with 0.16 fl oz of product.

Performance
I’ve been using this product for about 2 months consistently as part of my night time skin care routine. It is the first skincare eye product that I’ve ever used and so far, it has left much to be desired. I do enjoy how it quickly penetrates into the skin around my eye and is not oily feeling or heavy. However, I have yet to see any of the benefits it has claimed. I do have fine lines under my eyes and a bit of dark circles and I don’t notice a difference in either of these from using the product. As I’m new to using skincare products for the eye I do not have any other product to compare it to and I’m wondering if it’s all a gimmick. Generally, I use my facial moisturizer and oils (such as olive oil and coconut oil) around my eye to keep it moisturized. Once I’ve used all of the product if any changes occur I will be sure to update this post. I will also seek to try out other eye treatments for the delicate eye area in the future. If you have any recommendations please share in the comment section below.
