Get it Right, Get it Tight - Goals

Before embarking on a fitness journey it’s important to reflect on why you are starting one. Too often we jump into new activities without thinking about why. It’s difficult to be motivated about something if you don’t know why you are doing it. When it comes to maintaining a fitness routine knowing ‘the why’ is important as you experience the pains and joys reaching your health goals; both physically and mentally. When setting fitness goals, keep in mind both short-term and long-term pursuits. Living an active healthy lifestyle is not a one-time thing; it’s a journey that evolves over time. Making your fitness goals does not need to be extravagant; one simple goal is all you need to get going. Generally when I develop my fitness goals I think of how it will benefit me. Sometimes I take it even further and think about how my goal will help me break a bad habit. This month, my fitness goal is to incorporate stretching after all my workouts. If you have any fitness goals please share!

Woah good for you! I used to go to the gym but then I moved back home and there’s no gym nearby 🙁

Thank you! I will admit, it’s still hard to stick to. Remember, you don’t need a gym to keep fit 😉 I’ll be making a fitness post touching on the subject of fitness at home.
